Description
Victor Buyck is building the steel structure of the new office building on 60-70 St. Mary Axe. This building will encompass an entire city block and is often referred to as “the can of ham”. The sobriquet derives from the special curved shape of the building, which was designed to not interfere with the existing views in Londen.
The structure appears as the top two-thirds of an ellipse, from which the center would be at Level 8.
The 90meter high tower is constructed in the shadow of the Gherkin, another Victor Buyck Realization.
The building will have 24-storeys that provide 26.000m² office and retail space.
Victor Buyck will aside from the structural steel also provide the metal deck and the steel stairs.
