Eeklo, Belgium - The fabrication of the HS2 M42/M6 Motorway Link Viaducts has been completed in the workshops of Victor Buyck Steel Construction.

In November 2022, Victor Buyck Steel Construction started the production of the new steel bridges in the workshop in Eeklo after a (pre)design phase where we assisted the client and the designer in the development of the structures.

These last 6 months, we have assembled and welded more than 1.000 tons of steel in to 12 transportable pieces of +/- 5,5m wide and 27m long. After the welding was completed, the segments were blasted clean and stored for transport to site.

After the summer these segments will be transported to site by ferry and exceptional transport. 

Victor Buyck Steel Construction is fabricating and erecting these viaducts in order of Balfour Beatty Vinci for HS2.
