Description
HS2 is a new high speed rail line currently under construction that will link London to Birmingham. As part of this project, Victor Buyck has been appointed to manufacture, supply and assemble the new viaducts for the M42/M6 motorway link. The project consists of 2 open box bridges with a length of +/- 160 metres, which will be manufactured entirely from weather resistant steel.
The bridges will be manufactured in 6 parts in our workshop in Eeklo and will then be transported to the construction site by special transport to be welded together.
The final assembly is done by launching over the motorway in 2 stages.
The bridges are almost identical to another Victor Buyck project: HS2 River Cole Viaducts.
