Lock doors Sint-Baafs-Vijve
In the beginning of June 2018 the works started for the construction of a new lock on the Leie in Sint-Baafs-Vijve. The works are part of the European inland navigation project Seine-Scheldt-Flanders, which allows bigger ships to provide a smooth passage between Seine and Scheldt.
Victor Buyck Steel Construction produces 6 point doors each with 3 sliding valves. In addition, the lock will be provided with 18 emergency fash boards that allow for inspection and repair in dry conditions.
