Victor Buyck replaces 6 crane track girders at ArcelorMittal Ghent
Ghent, Belgium - Last week Victor Buyck replaced 6 crane track girders during a general shutdown of hall KL at ArcelorMittal Gent.
To achieve this, everyone at Victor Buyck has pulled out all the stops over the past few months to get the crane track girders finished on time and to a high standard. On Tuesday morning, 8 June, our assembly team was ready to roll up its sleeves. The weather was very good: a bright sun, although it could have been a bit cooler now and then.
The six crane track girders were replaced during a 7-day shutdown, during which Victor Buyck worked in 3 shifts 24 hours a day. Almost the entire assembly team travelled to the ArcelorMittal site to finish everything in time in this shift system, and the results are impressive!
On Tuesday morning, 15 June, Arcelor Mittal was able to start up at the agreed time.
Thanks to the entire team for their efforts and to ArcelorMittal for the good cooperation!
